FAQs
Is there a cancellation fee?
You can cancel or reschedule appointments through your cancellation email, so refrain from deleting it until after your service. I will charge 50% for No Shows. In an emergency, you can call or text me to cancel, but do not count on emailing me as a cancellation. I do not always check it every day, especially on days off or vacation.
What should I expect from my session?
Your massage session will be done in a clean, private, comfortable room with ambient music, a table warmer for your comfort and relaxing environment. I use the classic Swedish massage style as my base and you may undress in privacy to your comfort level but will be draped in clean comfortable linens the entire time. I use unscented hypoallergenic massage gel for your session. We'll start with a brief warm up and then I will check in with you on pressure to work with your preferences. This is your massage, so feedback and communication throughout your session is always welcome.
Is there a waiting room?
Yes. There is a waiting room, so if you're coming in a group, or would like someone to wait for you, or getting a back to back "couples massage" we have a few chairs, some coffee, tea and water to sit and relax.
How should I prepare for my first treatment?
Get excited but not nervous! If you've never had a massage before, thank you for choosing me to be your first massage therapist. You don't need any special considerations with clothing as you will privately disrobe and be on the massage table with sheets and blankets to cover you during your session. Arrive just a few minutes prior to your session, 5 minutes is usually sufficient for a standard intake but you may want to allow a few extra if you have any in depth health issues to discuss. This will give us time to chat about your current state of health as well as your massage session goal and then get started right on time for your appointment.
